All That Jazz

Session:
All That Jazz……
Theme: To treasure
the past, our heritage; working in harmony today, the present; anticipating the
changes for tomorrow; so we can build a strong Order for those who come behind
us.
Aim: To share smiles of
happiness, hearts full of love, and the fun and frolic of Mardi Gras to everyone
we meet showing them that being a member of this Order is more than just
belonging.
Motto: Time flies; live each day as if it
were your last.
Daily Thought:
There will be
peace within our Order when the POWER OF LOVE is shown to all by all; as opposed
to the chaos and mayhem the LOVE OF POWER produces.
Worthy Grand
Matron’s Scriptures:
Ecclesiastes 3:1,
“To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under
the heaven.”
Matthew
6:19-21, “Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon the earth, where moth and
rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal;
But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth
corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal; For where your treasure
is, there will your heart be also.”
Worthy Grand Patron’s Scripture:
Psalm 33:12,
“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.”
Worthy Grand Matron and Worthy Grand Patron’s Prayer:
“Serenity Prayer”
“God
grant
me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to
change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference.”
Daily Thoughts:
- There is a time
and a place for everything, we should learn the difference.
- May
those who come behind us, find us faithful.
- Mardi Gras – The feast before the fast.
May we always remember that Jesus died for us so we can live forever.
Lent is a very special time of year; a time of remembrance. Mardi Gras reminds us of this special time
of year and we should celebrate its meaning daily.
Watchwords:
Courage; to stand up for what is right
Loyalty; to all things
Strength; to continue in every good work
Beauty; find the beauty deep within you and let it shine for all to see
Honor Station:
Esther; whose legacy is admired and cherished today, and whose courage,
strength, and loyalty was steadfast and true. And finally, she took a
chance, stood firm, won the battle, and changed her world.
Are we ready to change our world (Order)?
